📸 Who I Am
Ciao — I’m Marco Secchi, a Venice-born visual storyteller and Getty Images photographer. I’ve dedicated my life to capturing the world through the lens of black-and-white photography, blending the raw honesty of documentary with the poetry of light and moment.
From social unrest to royal events, from heads of state to humble artisans, I’ve worked across genres and continents, but I always come back to the power of a good story told simply, with a camera.

Editorial & Commercial Photography
Commissioned by publications, brands, and organisations seeking thoughtful, story-driven imagery with a strong visual identity. Specialising in editorial, documentary, travel, and cultural storytelling.
Speaking Engagements & Exhibitions
Available for talks, lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and curated exhibitions exploring photography, visual culture, media, storytelling, and the evolving role of images in contemporary society.
I shoot with both Leica and Sony, using digital and analogue cameras. For me, gear is just a tool — the real work is seeing. I use 28mm–35mm lenses for most of my street and storytelling work, and I strive for honesty over perfection.
While I enjoy social media and use it to connect and inspire, I don’t chase trends. My goal is to help people slow down, see, and create something timeless.
🎓 A Few FAQs
When did you start photography?
At 10 years old, with a Kodak Instamatic. My first real camera was a Leica M3 from my parents — and I still use it.
Do you shoot film?
Yes. While most of my professional work is digital, film remains part of my personal projects.
Do you edit your photos?
Only minimally for editorial work. I believe in honest, story-driven images.
Do you stage photos?
Never for editorial work. For commercial or portrait sessions, yes — with intent and style.
Are your workshops for beginners or pros?
Both. Whether you shoot with a Leica or a phone, we focus on what you need: composition, rhythm, storytelling, or vision.
