When did your photography journey begin?

My adventure with photography started when I was 10 years old, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion.

What was your first camera?

I embarked on my photography journey with a Kodak Instamatic, quickly transitioning to my father's Rollei, and then cherished a Leica M3, a thoughtful gift from my parents.

What cameras do you prefer for your professional photography today?

Currently, my toolkit comprises a selection of Leica and Fujifilm cameras, chosen for their unparalleled quality and versatility in capturing stunning images.

Are you affiliated with any major photography brands?

Yes, I'm proud to be an ambassador for Getty Images, which showcases my work. I also engage in consultancy and endorsements, advocating for the freedom to choose the best equipment based on the project's needs, rather than being restricted to a single brand.

Do you have a favourite lens for capturing your subjects?

I gravitate towards the 28-35mm range for its flexibility, though my equipment list on my website reveals a broad spectrum of lenses I utilize to bring my vision to life.

Is film photography still a part of your work?

Absolutely! While digital dominates most of my projects, film holds a special place in my art, especially for personal and select assignments.

The number can vary widely, from as few as ten to several hundred, depending on the event's dynamics and story.

Do you engage in digital manipulation of your photos?

I adhere to the principles of authenticity in my photography, especially in news and editorial work, where integrity is paramount.

Which do you prefer, black and white or colour photography?

My preference is dictated by the story I wish to tell, with both color and black and white photography having their unique appeal and applications.

Do you stage your photographs?

For news and editorial work, staging is not an option. However, commercial and advertising projects sometimes require a directed approach.

How did you learn photography?

My expertise is self-taught, honed through years of practice and exploration in the field of photography.

In which cities do you offer photography workshops?

I conduct workshops in Ljubljana, Venice, Milan, London, and Budapest, although my schedule can adapt based on assignments. These sessions are designed to immerse participants in the art of photography, from technique to storytelling.
