Learn from an Award-Winning Photographer. Join Marco Secchi, the Original Venice Photo Walk creator since 2010.

I have been a photojournalist for more than 30 years; Getty Images exclusively licence my images, and I am a member of Press and Photo organizations like NUJ - BPPA - National Order of Journalists - More about me on Wikipedia

I started the Venice Photo Walks because I felt that walking through the streets, meeting people, and taking photographs together was the best way to share my photographic knowledge with others. Since then, hundreds of people have joined me on my walks, and I have only 5-star reviews on Tripadvisor.

I believe every photograph should tell a story rather than be a pretty picture. As a result, I've created a Photography Workshop to teach you how to tell unique stories with your camera.I want my students to walk away from each workshop knowing how to make images that stand out and inspire others to do the same.

Renowned for their exclusivity and prestige, my Venice photography workshops have garnered overwhelming interest, often resulting in being fully booked. Due to the high demand and my dedication to offering a uniquely personal, one-on-one experience in each session, availability is notably limited.. If you want to join us for a transformative photographic journey in the heart of Venice, I strongly encourage early inquiries and reservations to secure your spot.

My workshops in Venice take place only and exclusively from mid-September to the end of May. I do not organise tours during the tourist season!

One day for a Fine Art - Monochrome photography workshop. Learn to see in Black & White. You can be sure to have the best time ever.

Black and white photographs have a classic appeal which stands the test of time. Learning to see and compose in black and white is a valuable skill; not all images work in black and white, and there is much more to creating a great image than adjusting the desaturation slider. Once we know how to find black-and-white pictures and acquire the camera skills to shoot them, we must know how to develop the image on our computer correctly.

Monochrome is also the perfect medium for creating stunning minimalist photos.

Marco Secchi accompanied us on the Sunrise photo walk- and what a wonderful experience it was! Marco, a renowned Getty photographer, is such a warm and kind individual. We learned so much from him. Marco loves sharing his knowledge not only about photography but about his hometown of Venice. It was truly the best way to capture the magic of the city. I left feeling more confident about my photography and also feeling as though we'd seen this iconic city with a friend. So grateful for this experience. Thank you Marco! (Tripadvisor)

I recently booked my wife a photo tour with Marco for her birthday. Marco was absolutely fantastic, he is such a nice person and a very attentive professional who made sure my wife got the best photographs as well as helpful advice. This was certainly worth the money and the highlight of our visit to Venice. If you are interested in improving your photos and getting an insight into Venice then a tour with Marco Secchi is amazing value. (Tripadvisor)

This was definitely the highlight of our week in Venice. Marco is friendly informative and inspiring. A must! (Tripadvisor)

At last we've found the hidden treasure of Venice. My wife and I have been here many times and think we know its main delights.
But only recently have we found the internationally renowned photographer Marco Secchi who leads photographic-cum-walking tours of this wonderful city. (Tripadvisor)

My wife, my 15-year old son and I spent 3 fabulous hours with Marco. He is the most delightful man whose good company was pleasure enough. However, he brought an added dimension to an incredible city. We took numerous photos, benefitting from his deep local knowledge and advice on composition. (Tripadvisor)
